Introduction:
Since 1990, our core business has been the manufacture of hand-crafted foot orthotic devices for the treatment of musculoskeletal pathology. While we manufacture foot orthoses from various materials (including EVA and polypropylene), we specialise in thin, light-weight, graphite composite devices. To ensure prescription accuracy, and to guarantee a truly custom product, we do not use computer-aided design or manufacturing (CAD/CAM) processes. All our orthoses are manufactured over original casts of the feet, not computer generated images. Our expert technicians have a combined experience of over 40-years in orthotic production; and all prescription and manufacturing processes used at RX are based on published articles and research papers, ensuring a strong evidence base for our prescription products.
Registered with the Medical Devices Agency (MDA) in the UK, our tightly maintained quality systems procedures ensure our products are completely safe for patient usage.
We choose the best raw materials available for our orthotic products: The shell material used for our more rigid devices is TL-2100™: the most advanced and researched carbon-fibre shell material available. Unlike other graphite shell materials, TL-2100™ has been designed and engineered specifically for the manufacture of foot orthotic devices.
